Fusaki Beach Resort Hotel is located in front of Fusaki Beach, which is the sunset spot on Ishigaki Island.
Once inside the hotel’s large properties, you’ll be uplifted by the beautiful views of the buildings, which feature red tiled roofs. Among them, the Garden Villas area, which has many cottages with red tile roofs, has a beautiful view like the village of Taketomi Island, and you will want to take many pictures.
There is a beautiful natural beach (Fusaki Beach) in front of the hotel, and you can enjoy various marine activities such as SUP and kayaking.
In addition, the hotel also has a pool facing the sea, the kids pool with a waterslide and a bar where you can drink alcohol, and both children and adults can enjoy it. The pool is open at night, and light music is played in the illuminated pool, which makes you feel like a resort in a completely different atmosphere from the daytime.
Fusaki Beach Resort Hotel is a popular hotel on Ishigaki Island where a wide range of generations can enjoy the resort.
Guest room
The hotel properties are large and the guest rooms are divided into four areas, and the atmosphere of the guest rooms varies depending on the area. There are various types such as family room and universal room, and you can choose the type you like.
In addition, the building of the guest room is separated from the place used by many people such as the front desk and restaurant, and it is designed to protect the privacy of the hotel guests. On the other hand, each building is not connected indoors, so you may find it difficult to move when it rains. The hotel has a large public bath with an open-air bath, which is recommended, but you have to walk outside to get there.
The hotel offers a free tuk-tuk transportation service between buildings. It is recommended to use it on rainy days. It will also pick you up at the parking lot.
North Wing
The North Wing area is the only building connected to the front desk, restaurants and stores. It is located in front of the second parking lot and is the most convenient area to stay in this hotel. However, it is the farthest area to the large public bath.
Garden Terrace
The area in the middle of the hotel. It is next to the front desk and the outdoor pool. But it is not connected to the building with the front desk, so you have to walk outside.
Garden Villas
This area has cottage type guest rooms. There are many cottages with red tiled roofs, and you can take nice pictures. Even if you don’t stay in this area, we recommend taking a walk. This area is the closest to the large public bath and the first parking lot.
It is recommended for families with young children as only two groups stay in a one-story cottage with a red tile roof.
South Wing
This is the quietest area to stay. There are no restaurants or other facilities used by many people here, so few people visit other than the hotel guests. However, it is the farthest area to the front desk.
Impressions when the author stayed (Stayed in November 2021)
We stayed at Garden Villas. The exterior is a one-story cottage type with a red tile roof, which makes you feel like a resort. There are two doors in one cottage, and it is designed to stay two groups.
This room has a place where you take off your shoes when you open the door, just like a typical Japanese houses, and you have to take off your shoes to enter the room. The room has wooden floors and a calm atmosphere. When you open the window, there is a chair on the balcony so that you can relax on the balcony.
It has a bathroom, but it is not large. The hotel has a large public bath with an open-air bath. Why don’t you try it?
You had to walk outside to get to the public bath, and there were two umbrellas in the room. In addition to umbrellas, disposable toothbrushes, slippers, hair dryers, etc. are provided in the room, and you can use them. Free WiFi is also available.
Pool with a feeling of openness
Fusaki Beach Resort Hotel has three pools. The main pool (Beachside Pool) and kids pool (Splash Park) are outdoors, and the other is the indoor pool. Both of the outdoor pools face the beautiful Fusaki Beach and are very open.
Hotel guest can also use it free of charge without reservation or reception.
Beachside Pool
The main pool has deck chairs and a bar where you can drink juice and beer, so you can spend a relaxing time while feeling the pleasant sea breeze.
It is also open at night, it is illuminated at night and light music is played there. I’m sure your feeling will be exhilarated. This is exactly the vacation at the resort.

There is a kids pool next to the main pool. It is also a water slide and a shallow pool, which can be enjoyed by both infants and elementary school students.

Changing rooms, heated showers and lockers are located close to the outdoor swimming pool. It is next to the Beach Station, which is the reception desk for marine activities.

Restaurants with different styles
There are four restaurants in the hotel. It is two indoors and two outdoors. It is three restaurants open for lunch and three restaurants open for dinner. However, they have different styles and you can choose the one you like.
There are no restaurants around the hotel. You can either go to a restaurant in the city center (around Ishigaki Port), which is about a 15-minute by car from the hotel, or use it in the hotel.
ISHIGAKI BOLD KITCHEN
We used it for breakfast and dinner.
It’s a buffet style restaurant and we were very happy with the variety of desserts and drinks as well as the food. In addition, there is a children’s menu, so it is easy for families to use.
We recommend you French toast that you can eat at breakfast.

A store with many products
There are two stores in the hotel. One of these is small and the items are not many. However, the other main store has many items. The store sell products like those found in supermarkets such as juices, snacks and sweet bread, marine items such as swimwear and sandals, and souvenirs. In addition, they also sell diapers and clothes, and you may be able to buy whatever you need during your stay here.
There are no stores around the hotel. There is a supermarket about 10 minutes by car from the hotel.

How to get to the hotel
Fusaki Beach Resort Hotel is located in the southwest of Ishigaki Island, about 35 minutes by car from Ishigaki Airport and about 15 minutes by car from the city center (around Ishigaki Port). There are restaurants and stores in the hotel, but there are no stores around the hotel. In addition, there are only 6 buses a day from the city to the hotel, so it’s better to have a rental car.

Free shuttle bus
Fusaki Beach Resort Hotel operates a free shuttle bus from Ishigaki Airport to the hotel. The hotel guests can use it free of charge without reservation. It takes about 35 minutes.
There aren’t many shuttle buses, but if you don’t rent a car, this is your best choice.

Route Bus
You can also take a route bus (Azuma Bus) from Ishigaki Airport to the hotel.
However, you need to transfer at the Bus Terminal (city center), which takes about an hour in total. In addition, there aren’t many buses, so it is better to use the hotel’s free shuttle bus.

The city center of Ishigaki Island is around the Ishigaki Port Ferry Terminal or Bus Terminal.
The bus fare from the city center to the hotel is 320 yen, and there are only 6 buses a day. You should think about using it if the departure time is convenient for you.

There is no parking lot in the restaurants in the city center, but there are some public pay parking lots there. If you drive to the city center for dinner, you don’t have to worry about parking. The parking lot of Ishigaki Port Ferry Terminal is convenient because it is close to the city center and large.

Fusaki Beach Resort Hotel is a hotel that is friendly to staying with babies. The hotel also rents strollers and bed rails, and sells diapers and baby wipes at the store. In addition, the restaurant seems to prepare baby food upon request.
