Seven Colors Ishigakijima, introduced below, is no longer in business as a cafe. Now it is only available to guests as an accommodation facility. It is sad because it was a very nice cafe.
Seven Colors is located in the northern part of Ishigaki Island, and it takes about 55 minutes from Ishigaki Port. Although it is far from the city center (around Ishigaki Port), it is a cafe visited by many travelers.
This is a cafe you should stop by when you go to the popular tourist attraction, Hirakubo Lighthouse. It is located along the way to Hirakubo Lighthouse. There are also accommodations with ocean views in all rooms, which is also recommended.
The beach is right in front of the cafe, so you can eat while feeling the sea breeze. It is a 10-second walk from the cafe to the beach, and it is a place where you can enjoy after meals.
In addition, there is a diaper changing table and a kids’ space, so it is a recommended cafe for families with children too.
Seats are inside and outside the cafe. The inside seats are also bright with glass on the sea side, and you can see the sea. However, we recommend the outside seats where the sea breeze feels good. There are sofa seats, table seats and counter seats on the terrace. The most recommended seat is the counter seat. The counter seats are arranged so that you can see the sea from all the seats. The sofa seats are nice, but the low table makes them unsuitable for dining.
We have eaten taco rice and dessert, and the berry waffle plate (pictured above) of the dessert was especially delicious. The sweet and sour sauce of berries and the sweetness of waffles and whipping cream are excellent.
After eating, you can enjoy the beach in front of the cafe and the view from the rooftop.

This is a restaurant you should stop by when you come to Tamatorizaki Observatory, a popular tourist attraction. It is located on a hill about a minutes’ walk from the parking lot of Tamatorizaki Observatory.
It is a restaurant for adults that serves course meals at dinner time. The restaurant has a calm atmosphere, and you can eat while looking at the beautiful sea. Terrace seats are recommended on days when the wind is not strong.
You can also eat lunch, but we especially recommend the “Shimatofu pancakes”. This is a pancake dough with tofu in it. This is a menu that requires a reservation limited to 4 meals a day, and can only be eaten from 3pm to 4pm. You can make a reservation by phone only.
The fluffy pancakes are put with whipping cream and mango sauce, which is just the right amount of sweetness. The pancakes are big with three layers, but they taste delicious without any tofu taste, so you can eat it alone. It has enough volume to be shared by two people.
Besides mango sauce, you can also choose berry sauce. Both sauces have fruit fresh and are delicious, but I liked the berry sauce because it was refreshing.
A meal set of pancakes and tea is recommended. You can enjoy as many cups of different types of tea as you like. Tea goes well with pancakes and you can feel a luxurious time.
This restaurant is recommended for couples and adults rather than families. It is a restaurant with a quiet and calm atmosphere.

I ate hayashi rice. Hayashi rice is a Japanese dish with hashed beef on top of rice.
It was delicious with a lot of tender beef and large cut mushrooms in a rich sauce. But it tasted a little strong to me.
We recommend the terrace seats facing the sea, but it is disappointing that the terrace seats are only drinks and desserts and you cannot eat food. However, the indoor seats are also covered with glass on the sea side, so you can see the beautiful sea.
It is not possible to make a reservation, so we recommend you to go at a time other than noon.

This is a cafe on a hill where you can eat ice cream while looking at the sea. It’s an ice cream shop, but we recommend it because the hamburgers are delicious. The meat used in the hamburger is not Ishigaki Beef, but the flavor of the meat overflows from the thick hamburg steak.
This cafe is also located at Ishigaki Airport, but the main shop is definitely recommended. At the main shop, you can eat while looking at the beautiful sea on the terrace, which will increase your tastes.
It’s a sunset spot, so it’s recommended to go at dusk too.

This cafe is only open during the summer. It is located in front of the sea, so you can eat while looking at the sea.
It is located about 10 minutes by car from the city area around the port, and it is also close to the bus stop, so you can also go by bus.
When you enter the cafe, you can see the beautiful sea view from the full glass windows. You can enjoy your meal while watching the sea from inside the cafe, but the terrace seats are recommended. Eating while feeling the sea breeze enhances the feeling of being on vacation at a resort.
However, the terrace seats are very hot on windless days, and it is not a good situation for lunch. Even on the day we visited, the wind wasn’t blowing and we ate while sweating. On such days, it seems good to eat in the air-conditioned store and take a picture after the meal.
This cafe does not make reservations for lunch time. Therefore, you will not know if the terrace seats are available until you go, so it may be better to avoid it around noon.
The main meal menu is pizza and pasta. The hibiscus cream soda in the photo above is a juice that makes you feel like a resort. It tasted refreshing and was easy to drink.

It’s a small cafe with only terrace seats. If you sit on the terrace, you should be able to relax comfortably with the sea breeze.
It is located in the west of the island, about 13 minutes by car from Ishigaki Port (city area). There is nothing around the cafe, but it is within walking distance from the bus stop.
This cafe does not have a meal menu. It is a shaved ice and juice shop made with seasonal fruits. Therefore, the menu changes according to the season.
We had a pineapple frappe and a brown sugar frappe.
The pineapple frappe is fluffy shaved ice topped with a syrup that leaves the pulp of the pineapple. It is not too sweet and has a refreshing aftertaste. I rarely eat shaved ice, but it was delicious enough to make me want to eat it again.
Brown sugar frappe is covered with brown sugar and ginger syrup. The taste is not too sweet due to the ginger syrup put on it. However, some people may not like the tangy taste of ginger.

We had the Yaeyama pineapple crumble cheesecake and the banana chocolate cake.
Crumble cheesecake is a cheesecake with pineapple fruit flesh inside. It is not too sweet and the texture of the pineapple pulp is a good accent.
Banana chocolate cake is a rich chocolate cake that goes well with coffee.
