Kohama Island is a small island with a circumference of about 17km, and many people rent bicycles to visit tourist attractions. If you visit a tourist attraction by bicycle, it will take 4 to 5 hours.
Many visitors to the island stay at resort hotels and enjoy sightseeing. We have the impression that there are not many people on a day trip.

Tumaru Beach
It is a beach where you can swim. There are showers and toilets, so if you go swimming on a day trip, here is easy to use. But there are no life guards or shops. Therefore, bring the food and drink you need.
If you are staying at a resort hotel, the beach at the hotel is better than this beach because it is more well equipped.

This is a straight road between sugarcane fields. Seen from the center of the island, it is beautiful because you can see it with the sea. In addition, there is a characteristic pine tree along this road, which also has a nice atmosphere.
There are other straight roads like this on Kohama Island. There are other photo spots on the road, such as a straight road to the sea or a tunnel of trees on a straight road. Please refer to the map below for these locations.

Iriufudaki Observatory
The height of Mt. Iriufudaki is not much different from that of Mt. Ufudaki. There is also an observatory on the top of this mountain, which overlooks the beautiful sea and islands.
Here is about 3 minutes by bicycle from Mt. Ufudaki. You can reach the observatory at the top by going up the stairs about 250 steps. This staircase is a lower step than that going to Ufudaki Observatory.
Which is more beautiful, the view of this observatory or the Ufudaki observatory, is the same. Because the two mountains are about the same height and the places are next to each other. If you don’t have enough time, we think you should visit only one of them.
